So Much to be Thankful for: #PrayforParis

Hearing about the Paris attack led by Isis this past weekend breaks my heart. So many innocent people were killed and lives were lost due to the immoral decisions and actions of others. It doesn’t look like the situation is going to get any better as France just launched an attack back at Syria.

Even in bad situations , we need to trust that God has a bigger plan and purpose for all of this. I know this may be hard to believe but we need to keep praying and calling on God. After hearing about this attack in Paris, it really made me thankful to my parents for moving to Canada fourteen years ago and to God for protecting and keeping me safe. I’m honestly truly thankful to be in Canada right now. This thought of being thankful at this point in life got me thinking that we shouldn’t just be thankful when good things happen to us, we should thank God at all points in our life. When we have our high moments and even our low moments because there is always something to be thankful for. I personally need to work on giving God thanks not just when there are sparks. I would encourage you to do the same and make that a daily goal. Be observant and look around at all that God has given you! If you’re sitting home right now reading this post on your phone or computer, thank God for the technology he has provided to you!

One final question, on twitter or Instagram when you posted or tweeted #PrayforParis, did you actually pray for Paris or did you just put your sympathy towards them. God want us to call on him in times of trouble. We can talk to God through prayer. And why wouldn’t you call on him- he’s our father!
